Project Title Trainee Management System

Description
Overview:
As the current staff/employee management system for a stakeholder's organization does not include a feature that focuses on managing trainees, the project aims to develop a dedicated management system for industrial trainees or interns within the company. The system will enhance communication between trainees and supervisors, incorporating modules such as consoleprofile managementseating arrangement, logbook & resumetask timeline, and administration management. The system's users may consist of administrators, supervisors, and trainees.

Problem Statement:
1. The supervisor encounters challenges in manually assigning or arranging available seats for on-site trainees weekly.
2. The supervisors struggle to assign specific tasks and stay informed about their trainees' progress or issues in completing the delegated tasks
3. The supervisors find it difficult to compile and manage documents such as logbooks, resumes and others from respective trainees.

Research objectives:
1. To determine the limitations of the existing system related to trainee management
2. To develop a web application for a trainee management system based on the requirements
3. To evaluate whether the web application can achieve the requirements

Student 1 (Jee Jian Qi):
Issues:
  1. General handling of trainee-related matters or system by admin
  2. Arrangement of seats based on floor plan, seat availability and trainee availability
  3. Audit system to detect and analyze system activities done by users
Modules:

Student 2 (Bryan Phang Yik Loong):
Issues:
  1. Absence of platform to create and manage tasks to the trainees
  2. Absence of platform to generate, upload and manage logbooks or resumes in the system
  3. The system does not display notifications about trainee activities or anything relevant.
