The Academic Development & Enhancement Centre (ADEC) is responsible to design and conduct professional development programs for UM’s academic staff, including the use of the e-Learning system, SPeCTRUM among UM’s academic staff. Various features are provided by the e-Learning systems to support the teaching and learning at Universiti Malaya. The selection and usage of features used for teaching and learning are mainly decided by lecturers who are teaching the course. However, there is a lack of analysis to know the impact of using the selected e-Learning system feature in teaching and learning. This system aims to provide analysis of e-Learning system features and perform impact assessment to get student’s feedback on whether the features are useful in supporting online teaching and learning.

Target users: ADeC staff, faculty’s e-Learning Coordinator, UM students

Proposed Features:

• ADeC staffs: Analysis of SPeCTRUM usage by features for each course (monthly basis); Ranking of lecturers based on the usage of SPeCTRUM features for the course; Assessment of the impact of the features used by lecturers (create a survey to collect feedback from students and analyse the survey responses); Final assessment of the SPeCTRUM usage and lecturers ranking based on the survey analysis at the end of the semester; Trend analysis for the usage of each feature by year
• e-Learning Coordinator: View the analysis of SPeCTRUM usage data, ranking of lecturers ranking for their faculty lecturers and courses; View final assessment of SPeCTRUM usage and ranking of lecturers after impact assessment
• UM Students: Answer survey to give feedback on the features used by lecturers for their registered courses, Survey analysis based on responses.

NOTE: User interface design should be responsive web designs that accommodate different screen sizes (including mobile phones).
