Currently, most of the restaurants even high class restaurants still performing traditional
method of taking orders. The waiter will reach out the table to take the order and the order
will be carried over to the kitchen to prepare food. While, the food is preparing, the customer
has no idea on how long does it take to prepare. Then, the waiter will be bring the bill and
remaining process and as usual traditional way of payment process will be carried over.
This purpose of this project is to merge all the dine-in services of the restaurant. Even
though, current situation doesn’t have any particular problem, but I felt that the restaurant
services are still left behind. This project comprises of web application for customer, admin,
and other staffs while android application for customers only. This project creates a
structured workflow which integrated with 4 modules which are customer, admin, kitchen
and staff.
I conducted a survey to analyse existing systems and the features provided by them.
To stand out from these systems, we intended to develop a feature called calory calculator,
which will calculate the BMI of the customer from their input of height and weight and the
feature will filter out the menu according to the obtained BMI. According to methodology, I
felt agile model under SDLC is suitable for this project. Survey had been conducted and we
received 60 responses.
