13 stakeholders (UM's undergraduate students)
Nowadays,
with the growth of information and communication technology (ICT), more
students are using the Internet to share their study materials online and
access the materials of others, especially university students. These helpful
academic materials can help students achieve better grades in their academic
performance. However, according to the survey on existing systems, these
existing platforms might not be the best tool for UM students to share and get
academic materials due to their limitations. Besides, findings have found that
the habit of academic material sharing among UM students seems to be less
motivated. On the other hand, some UM students threw away their physical
academic materials after completing a semester. This led to the rise of paper waste
on campus and affected the green environment. Therefore, a centralized academic
material sharing platform that includes a reward system should be developed for
UM students to share and get helpful academic materials. With the presence of
this centralized academic material sharing platform, UM students can easily get
specific-course study materials. Moreover, it encourages more UM students to
share their academic materials by rewarding them. By doing so, the habit of
academic material sharing among UM students can be encouraged, which in turn
reduces the paper waste on campus. Ultimately,
this can help UM to achieve the status of a zero-waste campus in the future.
