Mental health disorders such as depression, are a serious health concern that not only has become more significant in Malaysia but also has now been renowned as a global predicament. The ugly consequences of this unaddressed mental health issue are multifaceted and can have impacts at an individual, relational, communal, and societal level. Despite the large number of people who potentially benefit from mental health care, their problems are frequently unaddressed, unidentified, and unexplored thoroughly via the limited conventional treatments available. Even so, thankfully we have reached a point of globalization where today’s technological advancement has opened up doors in coming up with new, refreshing methods in addressing this issue more efficiently and more effectively. This, in addition to the rising popularity of video games, especially among youths, has prompted the idea of using the infamous video games as an additional aid for mental health therapy, in particular for this project, in aiding depression diagnosis.
