This project is a collaborated project which I am responsible for the data input module and the other course mate responsible for the expenditure analysis module. This project is to use OCR to scan mainly a receipt image and converting it to readable data that can be processed. The readable data will be transformed into spends value and date that will be used in expenditure analysis system. There is also a training the OCR model using font images. Before the OCR to be used, there is various of image pre-processing is performed to produce an accurate result of text data. The text data then is performed with various of process to enhance and extract an accurate data that is need to be work with. The process is including text pre-processing and calculation to extract the spending value and date. These extracted data is then be passes through the next module which is expenditure analysis system. This project module is inspired from the literature that has been reviewed.
