Covid 19 pandemic has changed the current learning system from traditional class to online class. Many classes have to stop or find other alternative ways on how to conduct the class. Nowadays, online platforms in education are widely used by students and are not something new anymore. Same goes to Islamic institutions that conduct classes on understanding the Holy Quran. Due to the complexity of the learning management system (LMS) for middle-aged students and limited number of Islamic mobile applications, this E- Halaqah mobile app is introduced to provide the middle-aged students with a platform that is easy to use and is guided by an instructor. The intention is to provide the student with a more systematic platform to access the material, practice and assessment by using the technology to ease their learning process of understanding the Holy Quran.
The application will be built using flutter framework and dart language. For database management systems, NoSQL will be used using Firebase. Scrum technique will be applied for keeping track of the development progress. Moreover, literature review has been carried out to acquire the knowledge regarding the understanding of Holy Quran and other related information. The knowledge obtained helped to create the requirements for the system together with the information obtained from the survey that has been collected by the potential users.
To conclude, this project is an Islamic mobile application targeted for the middle-aged people in Malaysia and it is for the students to understand the Holy Quran.
