This project contains information and description of the planning and design of a web application to assist homeowners in creating their ideal design for their home. The objective of this web application is to allow users to be able to visualize and customize the interior of their house. In addition to that, this web application will also be able to help interior designers and also contractors to understand what their clients really wanted for their house before beginning the renovations.

Requirements elicitation are conducted via research paper analysis and online survey via Google Forms. Research paper analysis helps in understanding the technologies and methodologies behind the already developed web application and how it is applied. Survey questions which mainly focused on trying to understand what users are looking for in designing their house interiors helped in strengthening the problem statements identified.

We asked the public on what people are willing to do to customize their house interiors, as well as their preferences in the design. The survey results proved that over 90% of the respondents enjoyed being able to customize their own house interiors, but over half of them never tried to approach any interior design company before. Some also agreed that they wish they are able to see their design visually as they would like to experiment with their creativity and mix a few themes in one design. Thus, we adjusted the design of the web application to be more flexible and interactive in order to allow users to express their creativity more.

Kanban method from Agile process model was chosen to be implemented for the web application’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as the model provides many helpful components that a small team can utilize and also able to maximize the efficiency of the project.
