This project is aimed to develop a car recommendation application for people that want to purchase cars. It would give them a recommender system that will provide relevant car suggestions based on their preference for cars. Additionally, this designated application would include the feature of comparing multiple car specifications at a time, monthly instalment estimation, and save their preferred cars for future reference. This idea was initially proposed because the existing application only provides the details and specifications of cars. However, the user needs to search the car models that meet their preference manually. Moreover, the manual process by the user is very time-consuming. Therefore, the method that was used to develop this application is the Agile model by using the Kanban development life cycle framework. During the requirement phase, an initiation of collaboration has been done with two collaborators which are a local car sales advisor and a founder of a software company. Meetings were organized with the collaborators to be able to gather and assess the information as well as create the requirements for the application. A survey has been conducted for potential users to gather information on car-related questions such as their trust in using a third-party application and getting the respondents' demography. The survey was used to assess respondents’ opinions on possible requirements to be added to the application. Modules of the application are divided into two main modules which are User Module and Admin Module. The User Module will be available for the mobile application while the Admin Module will be available on the web application. There are a total of 8 modules which are Car Data Analytics, Car Data Management, Admin Authentication and Account Management, Admin Activity Log, User Authentication and Account Management, Car Recommendation, Car Comparison, and Car Saved List. The modules of the application were built according to the requirements that were collected.
