This project is to propose an online learning management system (LMS) that encourages the young students (students of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and lower primary school) to be able to learn through online classes independently. The features of the online LMS includes virtual classroom manager, remote monitor for guardians, auto-attendance generator, students’ report generator, class scheduler, class notifier, auto-link redirector, and homework manager. The features that are covered in this report are 4 features: virtual classroom manager, remote monitor for guardians, auto-attendance generator, and student’s report generator. Some of the problems that can be found regarding young students' online education are that most young students are unable to attend the online classes without assistance, due to instructions of the system that may be hard to be understood by them. The teachers and guardians may not be able to assist them due to their different physical locations. Therefore, this system provides a remote monitor and auto-link redirector for guardians to remotely assist the young students, and class notifier to remind young students of the online classes. The system also aims to allow the preschools to manage their teachers, allow the teachers to manage their students and classes, and allow the guardians to have a certain knowledge on the activities of their children in the online classes. There are some LMS which have similar features to this project, such as ClassDojo, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, Karellen, and Skyward. This project is implemented using the iterative and incremental development methodology. The requirements of the project are elicited from the stakeholders through questionnaires.
