With the advent of the Internet age, more and more web pages and applications have emerged, largely simplifying the flow of people's activities. Similarly, homeowners' demands have increased with regard to plumbing, wiring, and home renovation. Finding trustworthy and qualified contractors, nevertheless, can be a difficult effort for homeowners. The creation of a mobile and web application that enables homeowners to register and find local contractors is the solution to this issue. The goal of this project was to develop an intuitive and effective platform for homeowners to find local contractors, while also giving contractors a way to promote themselves externally. For web application development, I will be using Laravel Framework for the backend while Blade for the frontend of the system. For the database, I will be using MySQL Workbench to establish the connection between the backend of the application to the database. A complete literature analysis will be done to acquire insights on best practices for developing mobile and web applications. The knowledge gained is then incorporated into our stakeholders requirement to ensure that the platform satisfies the expectations of its users. Also, a survey will be sent to homeowners to get their opinions on the features and usability of the platform. The platform will be created using the Agile Scrum technique, allowing us to monitor the progress of the project and respond swiftly to changes. Rating and review systems, job posting, contractor registration, homeowner registration, and search and filter options are just a few of the features that the platform will offer. Ultimately, the cross platform will transform how people discover trustworthy and experienced contractors for plumbing, electrical wiring, home repair projects, and other jobs. The platform will drastically cut the time and effort needed to identify a qualified contractor by offering homeowners a one-stop shop for local contractors with a specified price range and a particular location.
