Malaysian Sign Language (MSL) is a visual-gestural language used by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate. In Malaysia, it is known as Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (BIM) and is the primary sign language. Learning MSL can be challenging without access to an instructor or community. Augmented Reality (AR) offers an innovative solution by creating an interactive learning experience. By combining MSL and AR technology in a mobile app, learning becomes more accessible and inclusive. This empowers individuals with hearing impairments to communicate effectively and allows others to learn and practice MSL as a second language. The app breaks down communication barriers, promotes understanding, and fosters inclusivity. This project focuses on developing an engaging and effective AR-based sign language mobile app to enhance MSL skills.
